Buhay Port Yir: BLUEjob

It's the 9th year of our school! You know what sucks? We are alumi already when the 10th Foundation Day comes! The principal always says that the celebration will be grand everytime we have a meeting. This year, we weren't able to have Foundation Day because of the complicated schedule of events. We already had SciOliympics that week and the 2nd Periodical Exam was scheduled on the following week, plus October is Teachers' Month; however, we managed to have Foundation Hours. Yes, you've read it right, literally foundation hours because half of the day was for the teachers. Two events in a day! Teachers' Hours and Foundation Hours. And I'll be talking about the latter because I did nothing during the former but hosted the event.

And what is the easiest, inexpensive way to celebrate the foundation of the school? By having games!

The games were DFSSG Sportsfest-inspired hahahahaha. Last September, The Division Federation of Supreme Student Government of Pasig held a sportsfest at Sta. Lucia High School. It was really fun not only because of the games but also because we got the chance to play with students from other public schools in the city. We enjoyed the games so much that we decided to adopt them.

The Grade 7 wore green, they must be fans of Bruno Mars that they ended up with GREENade. The Grade 8 named their team YELLOWet. The juniors came as REDtube. The seniors called their team BLUEjob. We, the seniors, wore our batch shirt, since it is blue. Senior advantage. Since the SSG hosted the event, we  had agreed that we would wear black on that day, so that students could recognize us. Ahehehehe, I am the 4th year representative, and I am so loyal to the people that I represent, so I wore my batch shirt instead.

I am very proud of my batch mates because our yell was so detailed + funny+ everthing postive in teh world.
"Who run the world? BERZ!"
"I came here like a wrecking BOYLE"
"Pump it, COPER!"
"You are GOLD-STEIN! Always believe in your soul"
"And you're gonna here me JOULE"
"And Iiiii will LEWIS love you"
"To-do-MARX and pagkakaibigan"
"SEXTH BATS, SEXTH BATS, YO MA SEXTH BATS"
BLUEJOB! BLUEJOB!

The first game was Magic Chair. Hats off to the juniors because they got the highest score for this game.

Hulahoop relay! Guess who won in this game! The seniooooors! In this game the shorter the players are, the better. It's not always about being tall. Being short also has its advantages.

The controversial Tug of War. The first match was between the Grade 7 and Grade 8. Unsurprisingly, the latter won. The Grade 8's win was so obvious, there weren't any issues. Unlike with the match between the juniors and the seniors which turned out to be a trouble. They repeated the match, but things were still unclear, so the juniors, grade 7, and seniors got 8 points apiece.

Yes, we're that wild! I played in this game because I really wanted to experience it. But we didn't win this game. In fact, we only placed third in this. The Grade 7 topped! Ahehehe can't help smiling because they are so cute. Another game where the short prevails.

After the games, we totaled each team's scores in the games, plus the score in yell competition.
Grade 7---- 32pts
Grade 8-----32pts
3rd year-----42pts
4th year----42pts
Uh-oh. It's a double tie! We really didn't know what to do, since we cannot afford to have a tie breaker anymore because it was starting to get late. Good thing Sir Raffy was there to calm the students. His way to break the tie? Bato Bato Pik! Just because it is stated in our constitution that if candidates in the election get the same number of votes, they will have to toss a coin. Mai gad, can't imagine that all your efforts in the campaign would be washed away simply because the coin showed heads when you had chosen tails. How heartbreaking would that be.

After the Bato Bato Pik and all, Grade 7 got the last place, Grade 8 in the third, Third Year finished second and Fourth Year was declared as the champion.

ang cute ni louie sa gilid hahahahaha

Congratulations to my co-SSG officers, our efforts paid off! The trips to Divisoria, the outputs we missed. And all the out-of-nowhere misunderstandings that Jaddie and I had. I swear, we always end up asking ourselves why we are fighting.

I cannot imagine being in a university, not seeing my batch mates. I am wishing a successful life for everyone. I love you to bits and pieces.
