Change is the metamorphosis of what we have, what we are, and what we are experiencing. It is inescapable. If it does not exist, there would be no laws, viruses would not mutate, and nothing would be in our mouths, but tongue and gums. It can only lead to one of these: for the better or for the worse. Sometimes, we really have to alter some things to taste the better ones. Antipathetically, we, sometimes, fear change, too. The unhealthy effects that it can cause might go beyond the description of "disrupting".
"Nothing is permanent, but change." -Heraclitus (This is what I picked for the extemporaneous speech earlier. Unfortunately, the cup of coffee, which I had this morning, tensed me so much. I cannot even remember how I ended my speech. Please allow me to have a "more concentrated" explanation of the said quote.)
Before dinosaurs existed, change was already existing. Everything is transient, but change is permanent. All of these things may vanish in just a jiffy. We will all die. This is a proof that change lasts longer than us; moreover, stronger than us. Imagine how an abstract thing is more powerful than the highest form of the species that exist? We are dealing with changes and these might be modified soon, too. We can alter most of the things around us, but change, itself, cannot be metamorphosed. Even after our last breath, change will still be present.
One of the quotes that I really wanted myself to explain is quote #15: "If nothing ever changed, there will be no butterflies." -Unknown
I will not elaborate this deeply. I just want to cite an example. The ups and downs of the Philippines can be compared to the life cycle of the butterflies. Remember our Gloria days? Other countries resented and at the same time, pitied us. We do the same thing towards the caterpillars. I believe that our country is now in its cocoon days. We are almost there, the change that we've been waiting for will reach its summit within years. Philippines is just waiting for the right time to become a butterfly.
